Professional Summary

​I am an expert in digital and corporate communication, Spanish and bilingual in English, with more than 12 years of experience elaborating, executing and leading communication strategies and multidisciplinary teams (own and external staff).

I've worked in different sectors and managed projects related to ICT: digital economy, telecoms, open data, and public digital services -such as healthcare-; and scientific research: IT, software, and health.

 

Among the many projects for which I have developed communication and marketing plans and actions is the digitization of the Spanish public healthcare system, adopting digital solutions to improve the quality of healthcare and the efficiency of the service provided. "Health online" or "e-Health" were two of the programs in which I actively participated, developed and implemented by Red.es. These programs made it possible to promote the Individual Health Card, the Internet Prior Appointment, the Electronic Prescription and the Electronic Health Record, among other things. 

At IMDEA Software Institute, I have led the communication strategies of an organization dedicated to perform the research of excellence required to devise safe, reliable, and efficient software. Its work is carried out through contracts and collaborations with companies -such as Airbus, Telefónica, AWS, NEC, IBM, Meta, or SENER, among others-, and large-scale projects putting the science and technology needed. In this sense, I have developed communication actions to publicize the scientific results of hot topics such as blockchain, cloud computing, quantum communications, mobile applications, satellites, AI or computer security.

I have extensive experience in the organization of national and international events in which I have led communication actions. Among them are the Spanish pavilions of the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Las Vegas and Shanghai, the annual meeting of the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), the International Open Data Conference (IODC), the International Digital Content Forum (FICOD), the Spanish pavilion of the Digital Enterprise Show (DES), the Madrid is Science Fair, or Women and Girls in Science, among others.

 

On a daily basis I have dealt with multiple stakholders such as public institutions, associations, researchers, research centers, universities, academics and the media, for example. 

I reinvent myself every time I arrive at a new place. I start with illusion, desire and enthusiasm to listen, learn, create and absorb as much as possible to discover its essence. Even the experience might endorse us, if we do not start from scratch, innovate and learn constantly, the ship will go down with us. 

I am a creative person, with initiative, empathy and a can-do attitude to solve unforeseen challenges, able to effectively lead others and work collaboratively, self-confident and able to propose and manage new initiatives.

  • Elaboration and execution of the Institute’s global communication plan (PR, internal communication, crisis, image, advertising & SMM).

  • Develop the company's marketing plan -online and offline-.

  • Control and management of the total department's budget.

  • Preparation of dissemination materials: press releases, news, interviews, articles and newsletters.  In charge of sending to the media and publishing in corporate website, and international news agencies (EurekAlert! and AlphaGalileo).

  • Conceptualize, develop and craft speeches, presentations, briefings and other supporting material for external and internal events, and copywritung.

  • Expert in handling various typesetting, image and video editing programs. Elaboration of infographics, banners, frames, videos and audiovisual pills to be published in digital channels.

  • Media, stakeholders, and institutional relations.

  • Social Media and Community Manager.

  • Organization of online and face-to-face internal and external events and in charge of protocol.

  • Direction and management of PR agencies, graphic design, web, events, and audiovisual suppliers.

  • Responsible for the design, structure, architecture and content of the new corporate website project.

  • Collection and analysis of relevant information -from scientific papers- and develop concise and comprehensive messages that are easy to understand, crisp and memorable (storytelling).

  • Compilation and transformation of information, extracting the essences and aligning messages with overall business and communication strategy (Intranet and external digital platforms)
